We´ll let the photos do the talking for this one!

Hola Muchachos and Muchachas! For this little edition we are going to provide you with a cheeky photo blog!

First off we will recap our last blog with some photos and then move on to a play by play of the W TREK!

We went to the moon in Pisco Elqui. No big deal.

Rickety bridge crossing in El Bolson. See you on the other side.

Heading to Mt Fitz Roy!

Fitz Roy range in all its glory! Yeh Girl!

Base of Fitz Roy at Laguna de Los Tres, not bad! Cue snowstorm!

Cerro Torre in the background and Cerro Giselle in the foreground.

Perito Moreno, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhht?¿

Best icy pole ever

Get your cramp-ons

Ok so so all jokes aside here we will now guide you through what was to be our final major trek. The W Trek in Torres Del Paine National Park! An amazingly diverse trek in Chilean Patagonia. So after a brilliant new years eve which involved a lovely couple buying our dinner for us (unexpectedly) and then subsequently seeing in the new year with us too! We headed to the National Park. Bright eyed and bushy tailed, we were ready to go. After planning to go West to East, a last minute change of mind was had. A park ranger hinted East to West was better due to the weather forecast. So off we go. Plans in reverse! A gorgeous 3 hour hike from the start to to our campsite and then a further 1 to hopefully see the towers!

Thanks Mr Park Ranger! Great advice! Towers almost in full view!

DAY 2

4.30am, up for the sunrise, 1 hour hike up a steep mountain, sooooo cold! But hoping for the famous golden red on the towers from the fresh morning sun

Not a very happy Gissy! Its cold, early and starting to snow, hard, really hard. More of a snowrise then sunrise really!

Hence no tower view but an eery yet beautiful mix of snow and sun! Only in Patagonia!

Later that afternoon the sun came out and we were pretty happy campers. 8 hours later we arrived at camp, still pretty happy though!

DAY 3

Bring it on Valle de Frances!

Top of Valle de Frances after 3.5 hours, perfect weather, perfect place. Que suerte!

Alright Israelis, hands up who burnt down the national park? 5 hours later we arrived to a luxury campsite with a proper kitchen for campers!

Day 4

Mountain Lodge Paine Grande, feeling a little excited for our final day! One day ahead of schedule!

Just another crazy Patagonian picture, mountains, glaciers amd glacial lakes! Oh and some serious Patagonian wind! Giselle was not happy with Brett heading out to pose for a photo it was so strong! But worth it, no? Glaciar Grey and back to camp, an 8 hour day for the end of the trek! 81km´s in 3.5 days worth of walking!
